Accelerated Leadership workshops are all about COMMUNICATION skills. Whether your role is defined as manager, supervisor, salesperson, engineer, technician, customer service, or simply team member, your ability to motivate others to want to cooperate depends upon your personal communication skills. We use the international award-winning courses of The PAR Group of Atlanta, facilitating PAR workshops primarily in the Gulf South. Workshops include:

At the heart of PAR training is RESPECT. When respect is tangibly demonstrated during interactions, the listener is more apt to return respect, communicate more openly, listen more attentively, and willingly cooperate. All PAR workshops incorporate teaching, application, and coached practice in all or part of the following skillset:

    How to start a business conversation with RESPECT that gains immediate interest
    How to listen and accurately read any point of view and willingness level
    How to respond respectfully to build rapport and trust, even when the other person is negative
    How to ask questions so others give you the information you need to tailor solutions
    How to connect and reason with people on their level
    How to lead the conversation to higher levels of positive involvement
    How to respectfully handle objections, harsh reactions, and other resistance
    How to bring committed closure

About Mike Williams

Mike Williams founded Accelerated Leadership in 1999. He began his training career in 1989 conducting seminars full-time in supervision and time management. His personal passion for improving communication in Louisiana's oil industry led him to the powerful people skills courses from The PAR Group, and the subsequent launching of Accelerated Leadership. Williams has worked with hundreds of companies and thousands of individuals from foremen to CEO's to build professionalism, people skills, and personal effectiveness in communication. Williams was Associate of the Year in 1992 and 1993 for Leadership Management, Inc., a nationally prominent training firm.

About Ross Trahan

Ross Trahan, BS, OM, CPT, brings extensive management and administrative experience from the fields of Offshore Construction, Commercial Construction, Education, and Church Ministry into the classroom. Ross has been a consultant and trainer with Accelerated Leadership since 2004. A superb facilitator, his training helps leaders to be more successful through the application of foundational leadership principles and effective communication skills.

Public Sessions (Multi-Company)

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Your Key to Success With Employees and Customers is conducted nearly each month at a hotel site in Lafayette or New Iberia, Louisiana for companies which may only have a few people for training, or for larger companies that can send only a few at a time. Sessions are limited to 15 participants, with any one company sending up to 6 people. These public sessions are in the 2-day format, 8-5pm daily.
