American Management Association Seminars

Building an Informal Network: How Work Really Gets Done
Seminar No: 02103-XNBB
CEU Credits: 1.2
Length: 2 days

Maximize your networking opportunities to improve individual, team and organizational results.

Every organization has them: informal networks that buzz with knowledge sharing, communication, information flow and relationship building. Unlike organizational charts that trace a company’s formal structure from the top down, informal networks operate in all directions and represent the actual ways that work gets done.

In this two-day seminar, you will learn how to identify, analyze, map and navigate the informal networks in your organization. As you grow your network you will increase productivity, create better teams, build engagement and encourage a more collaborative work environment. Finally, you will learn how to apply this knowledge to enhance career opportunities for yourself as well as your team members.

  • Build a vibrant and powerful network whether you are an extrovert or introvert
