Reading Skills Assessment
A grade-level reading evaluation to assist the instructor in placing the adult student in a prescribed path of learning.
Reading Comprehension Program
Our software begins at a 3.6 reading level and is designed to diagnose deficiencies, test and teach concepts such as finding key words, clues by other words and finding the main idea. Instruction is interactive with practice for reinforcement.
Spelling Program
The Spelling Program lessons teach concepts such as root words, plurals, and homonyms.
Vocabulary Program
This program includes lessons to teach concepts such as finding meaning by content, root words and words that sound alike. Vocabulary is designed for "customization" purposes to include job and/or industry specific vocabulary words.
Grammar Program
Basic Grammar teaches the concepts such as subject-verb agreement, run-on sentences and double negatives. Intermediate/Advanced Grammar includes lessons such as misplaced modifiers, active vs. passive voice and contains lessons working with business documents.
Punctuation Program
Basic Punctuation teaches the use of punctuation marks such as end marks, apostrophes, and colons. Intermediate/Advanced Punctuation module explores more advanced skills and provides the learner with lessons on punctuating business documents.
Business Writing
A dynamic business tool which contains lessons on how to write memos, basic outlining, selecting appropriate business language and removing clutter from business documents. All materials and examples are adult and workforce based.
Proofreading and Formatting
This program has been divided into 2 modules. The first addresses how to format and design different documents from social to business oriented letters. The second moves into proofreading skills including scanning techniques and proofreading for details.
Basic Math Skills
A fundamental adult math course designed to teach basic rules and concepts for application. Includes number regeneration for unlimited practice. Business related lessons include help screens to teach and reinforce concepts, games, dictionary, conversion charts and problem solving.
Basic Clerical Skills
This business tool teaches basic filing, data transferring and proofreading and is an excellent reference guide for addressing basic skills of secretarial/clerical personnel.
Basic Mechanical Skills
A basic physics foundation course designed to introduce concepts such as: What is matter, energy, fiction and gravity and how they relate to everyday work and life.? The perfect course for anyone interested in developing the skills necessary for trade, manufacturing or craft occupations.
Spacial Relations
This unique program offers its audience the opprotunity to see objects from different perspectives and teaches the skills of seeing things in a three-dimensional way.
Critical Thinking
An introductory course on the basics of how to draw conclusions, make analogies, understand relationships, make good decisions and assume responsibilities.
Medical Vocabulary
The basic, intermediate and advanced program is designed to assist medical practitioners in understanding medical terminology and applying the basic skills necessary in decoding medical terms.
Note:Additional programs are available to teach reading, vocabulary, or spelling using industry specific vocabulary such as financial terms or manufacturing terms. We can also customize the programs to make them specific to your industry or workplace.
