Stress Management: A Holistic Approach: A 3-hour workshop which helps participants develop a global, more objective look at their lifestyle and the effects of stress. Highly experiential, participants explore the meaning and sources of stress in their lives using several assessment tools. A model for identifying "balance" in their life is utilized to move participants into an Action-Planning phase.
Personal Goal Setting: A 3-hour workshop which helps participants identify how to set goals, prioritize and manage their time to better meet personal and professional goals.
Assessment tools are used to assess each participant's ability to set and meet goals, prioritize effectively and achieve "balance" in their life. Basic effective time management and planning techniques are also explored through activities, exercises and "take-away" worksheets.
Basics of Team Development: A 1 day awareness workshop which covers the basic components of developing and establishing a team. Topics include: types of teams, the team / leadership continuum, team dynamics and the stages of team development. A special emphasis is placed on the specific training and development required at each stage of development. Session includes discussions, exercises and team / self assessments.
Myers-Briggs (MBTI) Introductory Workshop: An introductory workshop (1/2 or 1 day) which provides an introduction to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) as a tool for self-awareness. Participants learn the history and research background of the MBTI instrument and how it is constructed. Based on the completion of the MBTI questionnaire (sent out as "pre-work"), each participant receives their own report and interpretation of their MBTI results. In the full day session, additional activities focus on identifying the different styles of communi-cation represented by the various types, and methods for enhancing communication, inter- action and problem-solving efforts.
Myers-Briggs (MBTI) Workshop for Team Development: A 2-day session, this Myers-Briggs program includes all the basic information about the MBTI instrument, including its history, research background. Based on the completion of the MBTI questionnaire, (sent out as "prework"), each team member receives their own report and interpretation of their MBTI results. Teams then review the overall team results, team type and engage in activities designed to highlight the implications of their overall team "mix" of MBTI profiles. The focus is on the team's ability to effectively communicate, problem-solve, resolve conflict and make decisions given their particular MBTI team type. Final activities focus on Action Planning.
Facilitation Skills: A 1-2 day course which focuses on developing competence and confidence as a facilitator. Topics include adult learning theory, group dynamics, methods for handling challenging participants and situations. The learning process includes lecture, discussion, exercises and a 10-15 minute videotaped facilitation practice. Each practice is followed by specific performance feedback intended to be supportive and developmental.
Presentation Skills: A 1-2 day course which focuses on developing competence and confidence as a presenter or speaker. Topics include developing and organizing a presentation, methods for engaging an audience, steps for preparing for and practicing a presentation, supported by an effective videotape produced by Toastmaster's International. Program includes a 10-15 minute videotaped presentation exercise, followed by specific performance feedback intended to be supportive and developmental.
